Overview
==============================================================================
   ZiLOG's ESCScan utility (escscan.exe) uses the Ethernet Smart Cable's 
   auto-discovery mechanism to acquire IP addresses, ports and other details 
   for available Ethernet Smart Cables on the network.  This feature is 
   integrated into ZDS II versions 4.10.0 or later.  To use an Ethernet Smart
   Cable with a prior version of ZDS II (that supports a different Ethernet
   debugging/programming device), use ESCScan to determine the IP address of
   the device.


Using ESCScan
==============================================================================
    Execute ESCScan via Start > Programs > ZiLOG Ethernet Spart Cable Scan > 
    ESCScan.  The resulting window displays output like the following:


      ZiLOG Ethernet Smart Cable network scanner, version 1.0
      Usage: escscan [broadcast_address]

      Broadcast address not provided, defaulting to 255.255.255.255.

   Match the MAC Address to that which is printed on you Ethernet Smart Cable
   to determine the correct IP Address to use.

 
Uninstalling ESCScan
==============================================================================
    To uninstall ZConvert, execute the uninstaller via Start > Programs > 
    ZiLOG ESCScan > Uninstall ESCScan.  Alternatively, open the Add or 
    Remove Programs utility (via the Windows Control Panel) and remove the 
    'ZiLOG ESCScan' item.
