Z51F0410HCX: Development kit 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hello.

I am writing from Brazil.

You can consider me a hobbyist in the microcontroller world since, for the time being, I do not deal with them professionally.

For the projects I intend to develop, a 8051, low pin count MCU is what I am looking for.

* * *

I am a bit confused about how to program the Z51F0410HCX using the Z51F3220 development kit __ this is one the resources listed on the Z8051 Tools user guide downloaded from the MCU’s webpage. In the board’s electric diagram I saw a 10-pin header connector that in terms of wiring resemble the description given in the MCU manual for OCD debugger connection, but I saw no reference to an adapter for the 10-pin chip to this connector.

Is this development kit suitable to that MCU? Do I have to assemble a target board with its own debugging connector and bridge them with a cable I would have to build?

Thank you all for any suggestion.

Yes, you do need a mechanical interface - so the DSCL and DSDA pins on the Z51F0410HCX, are wired to the same pins as you find in the schematic for your 32K device development kit.
Looks like it uses Pins 2.4.6.8 on the IDC10
