ZiLOG’s offers the ZNEO™ as the next generation of 16-bit MCU. ZNEO™ Z16F Series of Flash microcontrollers represents ZiLOG’s evolution into 16-bit processing. The ZNEO Z16F CPU instruction set has been optimized for near single-cycle instructions yielding 15 MIPS at 20MHz. Combined with large zero wait state internal Flash, powerful math functions, 32-bit ALU supporting 8-, 16-, and 32-bit operations, embedded 32x32 multiply/64x32 divide operations, and 16-bit bus widths, the ZNEO Z16F delivers a powerful, yet cost effective microcontroller solution. The compiler-friendly instruction set supports multibyte push/pop framer pointer manipulation, so that code generation is very compact. A rich array of peripherals and analog features make this microcontroller suitable for a large number of applications from security panels to motor control. ZNEO is a natural migration path for high end Z8 Encore! customers.

Zilog offers a complete line of 8-bit mixed signal ASSP solutions including the Z8 Encore!®, Z8 Encore! XP®, Z8 Encore! MC™, eZ80Acclaim!™, eZ80AcclaimPlus!™, eZ80®, and Z8 family of products.- Z8 Encore!® family offers an extensive range of 8-bit ASSPs with up to 64KB of Flash memory, 4KB of SRAM, and a rich peripheral set.
- Z8 Encore! XP® family offers high performance 8-bit mixed signal ASSPs with extended peripherals including a temperature sensor, transimpedance amplifier, and high accuracy Sigma-Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter. With additional integrated features such as an on-chip Internal Precision Oscillator, non-volatile data storage memory, and large working memory, the Z8 Encore! XP® outperforms competing solutions.
- Z8 Encore! MC™ 8-bit mixed signal ASSPs are designed specifically for the motor control market. With on-chip peripherals such as an optimized PWM module, a fast 2.5µs A/D converter with a time stamp, an op amp, and multiple communication engines, the Z8 Encore! MC™ family is the best solution on the market for brushless DC motors.
- eZ80Acclaim!® family of ASSPs feature up to 128KB of Flash memory, up to 8KB of SRAM, and can operate at speeds of up to 20MHz. In addition, both the eZ80F92 and eZ80F93 offer up to 24 GPIO pins and six, 16-bit timers.

ZiLOG’s Classic product families- DSP- ZiLOG's 16-bit Digital Signal Processors are suitable for a broad range of applications, from general-purpose use through voice synthesis and mass storage. Whichever device you choose, you'll find a comprehensive feature set and easy-to-use development tools to speed your design time to production.
- Modems- ZiLOG’s popular family of V.22bis modem chips include the 2215 single-chip modem with integrated controller data pump and Analog Front End (AFE), as well as devices for modem data pump/AFE with V.29 Quick Connect, and separate modem controller. Our modems feature rapid connect time, low power consumption, minimal external logic, very small footprint, and simplified global modem certifications. These products are found in applications including set top boxes, point-of-sale terminals, remote diagnostic equipment, and security systems.
- Wireless- ZiLOG’s line of Z8 wireless MCUs are optimized for low-cost, high-integration, and increased performance, which makes them ideal for use in battery-operated command and control applications such as wireless keyboards, battery-operated devices, and low-speed RF applications.
- IrDA- Designed to provide full IrDA specification compliance in extremely small, low power modules, ZiLOG’s IrDA family provides a solution for every designer. Our products include general purpose 1 meter SIR devices for PDA’s, appliances and handheld instruments, high data rata FIR devices for notebook PC’s, printers and digital still cameras, and low power 20 cm and 1 meter devices for mobile telephones and internet appliances. - Data Communications- The Z80382 is a 16-bit microprocessor designed to address high-end data communications applications such as digital modems (ISDN, GSM, Mobitex, and Modacom), xDSL, and analog modems (V.34 and beyond). The Z80382 provides a performance upgrade to existing Z80- and Z18x-based designs by utilizing the increased bandwidth of the 380C processor, while maintaining backward compatibility with existing Z80 designs.
- SCC- For over 20 years, ZiLOG has set the standard for 8-bit Serial Communication Controllers (SCCs), which offer low power consumption, high performance, and superior noise immunity. The many on-chip features offered in ZiLOG SCCs help dramatically reduce the need for external logic and code development. ZiLOG is now the only main-line microcontroller supplier that continues to support new designs using these tried and tested devices.
- PCMCIA- ZiLOG’s general-purpose PCMCIA adapter chips are used in PC card interfaces, and are easily configured to allow access to all types of memory or I/O-mapping peripherals, such as Ethernet controllers, Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitters (UART), modems, and rotating disk memory.

Our TV controller product line includes Line 21 decoders for control of content with our stand alone V-chip, as well as control for Closed Captioning, On-Screen Display, or Automatic Time-of-Day update. The TV line also includes high-resolution TV display products for low-cost, character-based control capable of generating crisp ideogrammatic text and icons of near-digital quality, and.
